In this era of information revolution, mobile phone has reached in every hand. Mobile has also developed a lot and it has become a smart phone. Ever since the era of smart mobile phones in the market, a discussion has also gone on Android phone and Windows phone. Android phone better than Windows phone. People often get confused, what is the difference between the two?
To make a smart phone smart, it has an OS ie operating system.

Smart phones that are based on Windows operating system to work smoothly are called Windows phones. It is a closed source code based system and applications are made available only through Windows.

What is the difference between Android and Windows Mobile?


    Smart phones that are based on Android operating system are called Android mobiles.

       Whereas phones based on Windows OS system are called Windows Phones.


    Android is a product of Google while Windows is owned by Microsoft.

    Android was released in 2008 while Windows was released in 2010.

    Mobiles based on Android OS occupy 80 percent of the market

       While the remaining twenty percent come from phones based on Windows and other OS systems.

  •     Android phone belongs to the Unix flavored OS family while Windows Mobile belongs to the Windows OS family.

  •     The default user interface in Android is Graphical Multi Touch, while in Windows it is Graphical Metro.
  •     New updates to Android phones are done by different parties whereas Windows Phone updates are done only by Microsoft.
  •     Anyone can create their own apps in Android phone whereas only Microsoft can create applications in Windows Phone.
  •     Android phones have more than a million applications, while Windows phones have very few numbers.
  • Android phone supports Google Sync, Gmail, Contacts and Google Calendar while Windows Phone supports Outlook, Mail, Exchange, Windows Market, Calendar, Contacts, etc.
